Hello, hello! I’m back!! And man, I have been reading up a storm in the last few months! Some of the books I’ve loved… some of the books I’ve hated a little bit… and now I wanted to share a few of them with you!

Northanger Abbey – Val McDermid

This is a modern retelling of the classic by the same name (originally by Jane Austen). This one is filled with teenagers and teen drama and I have to say… I kinda liked it! I’ve never actually read the original, so I’m not sure how closely it follows, but this modern version definitely kept my interest the whole way through.

Luckiest Girl Alive – Jessica Knoll

OK, I know this was THE popular book for a long time, but… honestly… I did not love this one. I didn’t even really like it. Didn’t like the main character. Didn’t like the main action part of the plot. Just… nope. Moving on.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – J.K. Rowling

Yes yes yes yes I was so excited to read this book of the script for the play and yes yes yes I loved it! It was so much fun to be back in the magical world of Harry Potter once again and I just thought that she did a fantastic job with this one. It gave enough new and and enough familiar and I had to ration it because it went by so fast!

The Dinner – Herman Koch

This one had been on my ‘to-be-read’ list for a few years, and I’m glad I finally got around to it. It was… kind of boring, but also kind of very intense! It will definitely make you think of the situation from everyone’s point of view and wonder how you would act…

Have you guys read any of these?!? Let me know what you thought! I’ll have another recent reads post coming up pretty soon… Like I said, I have been a reading machine! Hope y’all are having a great day!
