Moving Day Part Two

Today is day two of moving madness! Again, this post was written a few days ago because of all the moving craziness. On today’s agenda is only a few little things: finish the drive to Dallas, get the keys to my apartment, see my apartment for the first time (yikes!), get the rental truck unloaded, unpack a little it, and not die of exhaustion. That’s all. Should be a fun and busy day!

I decided that for the drive down to the Big D I would try to listen to a new audio book. They really help the time go by quickly and I can download it to my phone so I won’t be actually streaming anything like Pandora and using all the data on my phone.

I chose The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. It has been on my list of books I’ve wanted to read for a really long time and so I’m glad that I’ll finally be able to check it off the list! (Even though I still haven’t really decided if listening to an audio book still ‘counts’ as reading a book…)

I think the part that I’m most excited about is the narrator, Jim Dale. HE HAS THE BEST VOICE EVER! I’M NOT EVEN KIDDING YOU RIGHT NOW! Jim Dale was the narrator on the show Pushing Daisies, which was one of my all time favorite shows to watch even though it was only on for two seasons. Click on the link and listen to the audio sample and then feel your day get better from his soothing voice. Seriously.

I can’t wait to start unpacking and then start my new job on Monday! I’m nervous, but in an excited way, like the way it feels before starting a new school year when you have an awesome schedule with teachers you really like. You know that feeling? I’m excited to meet everyone and get this new chapter started!
