Sunday Funday!

Today has been such an awesome day! Seriously! I had so much fun, spent time with some great friends, and did a bit of exploring in this awesome city!

I started out going to church at The Journey- I usually go to the Clayton location but this morning I met up with some friends at the Tower Grove location. Great message today and the church is just so stinking beautiful!

Then I went to Rooster for brunch with my friend Seth. They just opened a new location right by his house and it was SO delicious. I ate WAY too much, but that’s what you’re supposed to do at brunch anyway, right? When we got there the line was HUGE, all the way out the door, and so we thought that we would have to wait forever for a table. But when we got up to the hostess stand and got seated right away! I got the Slinger (biscuit topped with sausage topped with eggs topped with potatoes topped with gravy) and it was the second best thing I ate all day. Mmmmmmm delish.

Next we went to an open house that was in the Tower Grove South neighborhood. I was really excited to see this house in person. I had seen a listing for it online and it was in my budget and I wanted to see what it looked like… It was pretty rough. Definitely a fixer-upper, but it had great bones. After that, we ended up driving around trying to find any other open houses to go to- and we did! These other ones were so nice and SO much more expensive- but they were so much fun to look at! I got a lot of fun ideas of what I like, what I don’t like, and what I’ll never be able to afford.

The last open house of the day (is Sunday from 1-3 a common time window for open houses? Because that’s the time slot for all of the ones we saw today!) was right down the street from an adorable ice cream place that neither of us had heard of, so we checked it out. It’s called Ices Plain and Fancy and it was delicious- this was the best thing I ate all day! The make the ice cream right in front of you using liquid nitrogen and it was so cool to watch. My mint chip was so good, and Seth’s rocky road was pretty darn good, too!

Next we drove down Cherokee St. and stopped in a few shops- there were so many more that I wanted to go into but sadly they were closed. I guess I’ll just have to go another time!

The rest of my day has been pretty mundane- a bit of cleaning here, I made some dinner, and now I’m getting things ready for work this week. It is a short week for me because I’M GOING TO CHICAGO ON FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m only a little bit excited…
